The Sorrenberg vineyard is located in the tiny hamlet of Beechworth in North East Victoria and was one of the very first vineyards in the area. The area has built up a reputation in the last thirty years of being the home to some of finest estates in Australia and Sorrenberg has been one of the most consistent performers. Barry's Gamay and Chardonnay are highly rated, the one wine above all of the others in the range this is often over looked is the Sauvignon Blanc. The only reason why we think that this is the case is the reputation Sauvignon Blanc has in being a fairly straight forward style. Sorrengberg's Sauvignon Blanc is a highly structure and complex wine, with rich vibrant tropical fruits with hints of lanolin and minerality. It has incredible length of flavour and zest citrus acidity all built around a rich and elegant mouth feel. One of the most complex and interesting Sauvignon Blancs made in Australia.
