Matthew describes that wine as white Bordeaux on steroids and rates it as one of his all time favourite wines. By the way so does Jancis Robinson and James Halliday. This really is a unique style of Sauvignon Blanc not seen anywhere else in the New World. Forget any New Zealand, American or Australian wine that claims to be a oaked Sauvignon, this is without doubt the bench mark for all others to follow.
