Kilikanoon's reputation has in the past centred around its red wine production which is strange really given that the Clare Valley is perhaps best known for its Rieslings. Well in 2007 Kilikanoon turned the Clare Valley wine show on its head winning an unprecedented number of trophies included best white wine. If you ignore the quality of Kilikanoon's whites you do so at your own loss because they are simply some of the best Riesling which are currently coming out of the Clare. This wine has the citrus lime and lime characters that you would expect from a Clare Riesling with the subtle hints of minerality and that steely acidity that so typifies the style.
