Pierro vineyard located in Margaret River is the heart of soul of Dr. Mike Peterkin. The winery produces some absolutely stunning wines and perhaps this one above all others could be considered their flagship wine. Often rated higher than many of the other more glamourous Chardonnays in Australia but very few of its competitors have the ability to match this wine's ability to balance the intensity of pure Western Australian fruit with the focused and crisp acidity that a wine needs to make it perfect. If some Chardonnays in Australia are trying to compete with white Burgundy, in our opinion this wine is challenging the very finest Grand Cru Chablis' from Northern France.
