McLaren Vale is perhaps best known for its Shiraz rather than any other grape variety and with the Short Row Shiraz, Fox Creek has one of the best mid-priced Shiraz from any winery. Second only to the hugely impressive Reserve Shiraz, this wine is classic McLaren Vale which means that not only is it extremely elegant, it is also extremely powerful. The expression iron fist in a velvet glove comes to mind.
