This is one of the very few wineries in Tasmania that grow their own grapes and make their own wine and Neil Snare should be commended on the outstanding wines that he produces. This is in many ways Tasmania's answer to a truly Burgundian styled Pinot, always controversial but always good - deep and brooding rather than light and fluffy with complex forest fruits and a hint of that fame barnyard character that is so sought after in Pinots.
