This wine was originally destined to become the Domaine A Pinot Noir 2004 but at the very last minute was de-classified. This wine is in all but name the flag ship Pinot of the vineyard but Peter just felt that its ageing potential was not quite as quite as what he would expect from a Domaine A wine and hence it became the Stoney Reserve Pinot. This is a great Pinot Noir for its price, intense and very fine balance with the ability to age for a number year yet. Don't forget that levels of quality in the Domaine A wines is so high that even their second label is often far better than other wineries Pinot Noir. Well done Peter for keeping his standards so high.
