Gravitas is of course Latin for 'with great stature' and we think that this sums up their Pinot Noir nicely. The oak for a New Zealand Pinot Noir is extremely well integrated with the intense fruit flavours or morello cherries and spicy Italian sausage. The wine has pure layers of fruit embedded with complex spicy undertone with finely balanced tannins and a long clean finish. Yes its full bodied like most New Zealand Pinots but it also has the depth of flavour to carry this expectation of weight.
