The 2005 Sangiovese is from one of Kangarilla Road's neighbour’s vineyard nestled in the foothills of McLaren Vale just off the Kangarilla Road. The vineyard is trellised to vertical shoot positioning (VSP) in order to maximise light interception and airflow critical for this variety in order to achieve an even ripening. The palate is full and rich showing zingy dark cherry and rich plum combined with integrated oak and a lingering sweet spicy finish. A small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon completes the wine giving further depth and texture. Enjoy now and over the next 5 years.
